It is always good to set the bar high early in the year and the Welcombe Horticultural Society certainly did this with their wonderful February Feast.
While Mike Macer M.C.'d the evening the ladies in the kitchen served us with a delightful dinner. We were entertained by storytelling and every table had to make a hat using a bag of items provided to be entered in the Hat Parade later on the evening; well done to Jacob Morrison and Mick Dollimore!
The No Name Band played great folk music late into the night and as the tables were cleared an impromptu Ceilidh started up.
There was so much thought put into the evening from the decorations in the hall to the little touches of putting labels under some peoples seat to win the table decoration. All in all a superb evening, thank you to the Horticultural Society.
